an abstract of teaching 3d modelling and rendering. 2d drawing, layout technics, represantation rules according to architectural professions involved.
in my teaching,
i explain generally technics of computer aided design and how to use it carefully to develop ideas for the real world. each student aquires the skills of reading architectural documents, creating 2D drawings, 3D models and physical correct materials to render plausible fictional or existing nonfictional moments.

in the first stage,
the students anaylzies the location based on documents they have found, like photos and drawings, to get an idea for the scale of the project. they model a mockup scene with simplified volumes and remodel it over and over again until they reached a high level of detail.

in the second stage,
the students render some white clay images to find a point of view and trying some lights for the atmosphere. in this stage the main direction is set and materials becomes discussed for the next step.

finally,
it comes to materialization. that is the most exciting but also time consuming part. each surface in it´s physicality and color takes care for all the varying materials in the scene. it is a composition of an unreal world that tries to make you believe for it´s reality. there are characters that stays behind others and specific ones that have to come in foreground. a hierachy of colors building up visually depth and main content areas. after all the light has to become refined carefully to bring this universe together.

and maybe,
you want some more...
you want some more...
...some more...
...some more...
...some more...
...and even more.
